11/29/2023 0 Comments Headphone mix pro tools mbox pro3![]() I used to pull down send A, by clicking on the send to Output 3-4 and pulling down the fader. I also take the stereo aux track and on send A I send it to Output 3-4(My Monitoring Speakers). This Stereo Aux Track Outputs to Analog 1-2(Headphones in the recording booth). I have a stereo Aux Track with an Input of Bus 1-2. I have 3 mono audio tracks all with inputs of Analog 3(My AKG) They all output to Bus 1-2. I switched between the two, and it still had no impact. While Protools is actually recording, I don't hear a separate record path that I am used to hearing on Output 3-4Īnd what is track monitoring set to? Input only or auto input? I am hearing everything from the record path coming into my stereo mix, the problem is I can't adjust it or I will mess up the headphone mix for Output 1-2. "If you just playback prerecorded content do you hear it where you expect?" I used to hear the Mic Signal coming through when the mic is recording, it would pull out the Stereo Aux(my 2mix), but I would still hear the record path. Pull down the send fader on Output 3-4 sending from the stereo Aux. You mean select that bus as track output?" "I'm not sure what "pull down the." means. I am sending from the Stereo Aux to Output 3-4(My speakers in a separate room) I am monitoring through protools, The Stereo Aux Bus is sending to my 2 sets of speakers. "To be clear you are only monitoring though Pro Tools? Or are you talking about hardware monitoring though the driver control panel?" Basically why am I not hearing the Mic signal when I pull the 3-4 bus down to my monitoring speakers. I thought it was just an advantage of 3-4 on the front of the interface. I was able to monitor on 3-4 and adjust the 2mix to the vocal for monitoring, by pulling the bus fader down. The record signal never made it to 5-6 in the past, it just had the 2mix coming out. I defaulted all I/o inputs outputs and busses. I'm assuming some setting has changed or there is a button I'm just missing. When the Audio track is muted the record signal is still making it into PT, but I'm getting no signal at all for monitoring. The is especially bad when the person on the mic does not want to hear their voice while they record. Now when I pull down the 3-4 Bus everything is gone, no mic signal is making it through. The issue i'm having is in the past I have been able to pull down the 3-4 Bus and hear the record level by itself or pull out the 2Mix and just hear the record level. Record Signal is coming to all speakers, and I can adjust the level of 3-4 and 5-6 with the busses, or turn down the knob on 3-4. ![]() This Aux Send is also sending to Output 3-4(my cheap speakers) and Output 5-6(NS-10s) for monitoring level in the other room. All Audio Tracks are output to a Stereo Aux Send(2Mix) with the 2 mix Aux Send Output to Output 1-2(Headphones). I have been using this setup recently and have had no problem. I'm using an MBox Pro, a MacBook Pro '11 I believe with Protools 10.
